Parassinikadavu Snake Park

Parassinikadavu Snake Park is located in Parassinikadavu in Kannur district. The main aim of this park is to conserve and protect the snakes which are about to become extinct. There are more than hundred types of snakes in this park both poisonous and non poisonous. Some of the snakes found here are King Cobra, Viper, Krait, Python etc. There are specially trained persons who play with these snakes and live snake shows are also conducted.

This snake park is a subsidiary unit of the Pappinisseri Vishachikitsa Society. Treatment for various snake bites is available from here. Besides snakes there are also other reptiles, birds and endangered species of animals such as lion tailed macaque, crocodiles etc. Large number of tourists both local and foreign visits this snake park daily.
